Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, L.A. Lucas grew up in a melting pot of artistic creativity, which is evident, as ‘The Bronx’ is also known to be the birthplace of film icons Woody Allen and Al Pacino.

During L.A.’s formative years, L.A. was taught the value of hard work and perseverance, where in order for something to happen, you had to make it happen; traits that are essential in the entertainment world. L.A.’s creative essence at an early age was filled with writing, talent shows, acting, and playing instruments. Post College, L.A. would eventually give back by returning to the community to conduct acting workshops on violence prevention throughout local schools.
With experience in teaching drama and a burning desire to tell stories, L.A. then sought to acquire the necessary skills to create films by attending New York University’s Film Production Program, with past students including Oliver Stone, M. Night Shyamalan, Martin Scorsese and Spike Lee. With a background in acting, L.A. is classified as an actor’s director and has the niche for influencing actors not to act, but “BE”.
Following in the footsteps of the forerunners, L.A. was awarded two scholarships: NYU’s Technisphere Achievement Award & Scholarship, and The Andreas Zahler Scholarship. L.A.’s ability to tell compelling stories with a unique visual style has been recognized as official selections in various film festivals, as well as, being nominated and awarded.
Under the banner of L.A.’s production company, LightWarrior Entertainment, L.A. has built an impressive body of works from motion pictures, television shows, documentaries, music videos, commercials, reality shows, and more. Humble, talented and focused, L.A. is building a solid foundation in mass media. Known as someone who brings the best out in people, L.A. was a panelist member for the 1st Annual Urban Academy Film Festival and The ELEVATE Series, a set of workshops for entrepreneurship, branding and entertainment, as well as, a mentor for the Make a Film Foundation 2012. Never afraid to think outside the box, L.A. is currently utilizing creative energies to compose trailblazing visual works. It takes effortless brilliance, captivating storytelling and relentless passion – all of which are the ingredients to becoming a phenomenal director. And wouldn’t you know, that’s the recipe to L.A. Lucas.
